My wife has been exclusively breast feeding our 3 month old daughter. How can we get her to take a bottle? We have tried different “nipples” and she doesn’t want to take any of them. What is the best way to transition to bottle feeding smoothly. My wife still wants to breast feed, but we also want the option to bottle feed so we can go out once in a while. Any suggestions?

My Wife breast fed our baby girl, up until 3 months old she would take a bottle whenever we needed to, infrequently, after 3 months she absolutely refuses, she just toys with it , chews the teat etc then gets frustrated and cries. She has never had a problem breast feeding. She is almost 8 months old now and eats baby food, but we want her to get more liquids in and want to stop breastfeeding, how to we get her to drink from a bottle or even tommy tippee mug etc
Thanks

Do you think that all mothers are capable of breast feeding successfully?

I don’t think so, but I am curious to know your opinion.

I am a breast feeding, bottle feeding, pumping mom of 2.

I am not talking only about biological or medical conditions. I am talking about life experience, time spent struggling, lack of time or money, other kids to look after, not being easy with lactation consultants, and so on the list is long.
