There is nothing wrong with letting your child cry it out after 4 months. Those of you criticizing this are both self-centered and misinformed. Some babies need to learn how to self-soothe through trial and error (this involves crying) otherwise they won’t get the sleep they need to develop. If you’ve ever seen a child that won’t sleep through the night you know what I’m talking about, they are exhausted and not developing properly. Cry It Out works for many babies….it’s safe and healthy.

I’ve come to the stage where I don’t want to be involved in every meal that my 8 month old needs. Can I stop feeding her too? As the previous poster said, it’s a child you’re raising – if you didn’t expect your sleep to be disrupted for a couple of years, you shouldn’t have had a baby.

Remember: You’re not managing an inconvenience – you’re raising a human being.
