I’ve been on birth control for a while now and breast feeding also. I still haven’t gotten my period since I’ve had my daughter (nearly 5 months ago) and was wondering if I was still ovulating and could still get pregnant while on the pill and breast feeding.

you mostly likely won’t. breastfeeding reduced fertility on most women in the early months and being on birth control will make it harder. i probably wouldn’t have gotten pregnant if i ahd tried until my son was 9 months at least. that’s about when my fertility returned. of course it’s different for everyone but i am saying it’s not likely
you should consider your chances of getting pregnant while BF and on the pill the same as if you were just on the pill. BF def dosent reliably stop pregnancy so just elminate it as a variable of contraception.
You may or may not be ovulating, the influx of hormones from BF can help to mask this, so just assume you are to be safe.
Take your pill regularly, use back-up method if you take antibiotics, corticosteroids, sedatives or miss a pill and you should have the same chance of not getting pregnant as anyone else who isnt BF.
In response to another answer….not all birth control is going to affect the baby. I breastfed a BOY baby while i took birth control. Im sure you have gotten a new birthcontrol pill from you docotor that is safe for BF such as a POP (progesterine only pill) or mini-pill. these are just fine for pregnancy.
you’re on the pill and breast feeding at the same time? have you spoken to the doctor about this? seriously you can be passing on the hormones through your milk and cause all kindsa probs for your little girl.
Well, since you are on the pill, it’s not too likely. That’s the method of birth control we used after the first baby, and it worked until I went off the pill.
It can 100% Happen.
